Visa services for Egyptians and Foreign Nationals

All applicants for Visa to India must log on to http://indianvisaonline.gov.in/visa/ to fill up the online application form. Hand written applications are no longer accepted by The Embassy of India in Cairo. After completing the form, the applicant must save the form, get its printout, put down his/her signature on it and attach 2 photographs need before submitting to the Consular section for further processing.

For the approval of Vis application of a foreign national who is a resident in Egypt, the Embassy takes at least 2 working days and for non‐resident foreigners in Egypt, at least 4 days are required to process the application.

If the applicant is not a holder of passport with validity of at least 6 months, he/she cannot apply for Visa services. Also, there must be at least two pages on the passport of the applicant.

If an applicant is a Non‐Egyptian and does not reside in Egypt, he must fill another form to verify his particulars and submit it along with his/her application.

Visa applications can be either in person by the applicant or it can be submitted through travel agents.
Steps to fill up the Visa application:
1. Visit www.indianvisaonline.gov.in
2. Click on Indian Visa
3. Go to- guidelines for filling and submitting the online registration form.
4. Select Indian Mission. Applicants filling visa form from Egypt will have to click- EGYPT and those from some other country must click the name of that country.
5. Fill up the application form of “Online Indian Visa form” and keep moving ahead.
6. Click- Continue next page to into the next page of the form
7. Click- Next page again
8. Click ‘PHOTO UPLOAD’ and upload a recent photograph of the applicant.
9. Click- Continue to next page.
10. Verify all the entries. If all the entries are correct, Click- Verified & Continue
11. Click on Submit
12. Then, after print the hard copy and submit the same with two copies of passport size photo and all the documents as mentioned in the site www.indembcairo.com
