Iran Visa Information

Notes:

  • The Embassy of India, Tehran has entered into a contract with M/s VFS GCC LLC for outsourcing its visa support Applications. All the regions that fall under the jurisdiction of Embassy of India, Tehran are now being covered by the outsourcing of visa support Applications at Tehran.
  • The change has been made to ease and expand the tourism between Iran and India and also to offer transparent and efficient application procedures to the  appliacants with lesser additional financial liability.
  • Applicants who are holding official/diplomatic passports, and wish to apply for Entry, Research, Conference, Student, Transit, Journalist and Employment visas must submit their applications directly to the visa office of the Embassy of India, Tehran.
  • The decision to accept or reject a visa application is solely taken by the officers working in the Embassy of India, Tehran. The officers of Visa Application Centre have no say, whatsoever, in making this decision.
  • If an applicant provides incorrect/false information about himself/herself, the Government of India can take any measure or action as they seem fit against him/her.

Visa Applying Process

Step 1 :

Go through the information about the types of Visas by clicking on the link “All About Visas”. Ensure what kind of Visa you wish to apply for before applying.

Step 2 :

Download the form from the website and complete the form. Also, attach your photograph with the form and write the name of your spouse or your father.

Step 3 :

Make sure the photographs are of accurate dimensions.

Step 4 :

An applicant must ensure that his/her application is completely filled and all the required documents in the check list are attached. Incomplete applications will not be considered for approval.

Step 5 :

The application must be submitted at the VFS centre in Tehran along with the required Visa fee which must be paid in cash.
