Applicants from Zhejiang, Shanghai & Jiangsu provinces, who do not hold official/diplomatic/public affairs passports, must submit visa applications in person at India Visa Application Center.

Guidelines for Online Applicants:

All the attached photographs must be of the dimensions 51mm*51mm [2 inch*2 inch] in a white background.

All the details filled must be accurate as any information, if found wrong, can lead to cancelation of the visa application. After you save the form, there can be no editing done. In case of wrong information, you need to fill a new form.

The form must be submitted online and then a printout of the application must be taken either from a Laser Printer or a Ink-Jet Printer.

The applicant must download Adobe Acrobat Reader version 7.0 or higher version on his/her PC for downloading the online visa application visa form. Applicants may download the required software by visiting http://get.adobe.com/reader/.

The time taken to download the form is dependent on the speed of your internet connection.

Applicants, while filling the online visa application form, are advised to keep their popup blockers turned off.

After completing the form, save it, get its printout, sign on it, and submit it to Visa application centre in Shanghai with all the required documentations.

Applicants who are holders of official/diplomatic/public affairs passports must submit their online visa applications at the Consulate.

If an application is rejected or canceled, the visa fee will not be refunded back to the applicant.
