General Information:
Tourist Visa

Applicants must fill their visa applications form by filling the visa application online form by visiting the website http://www.indianvisaonline.gov.in/visa/. After completing the form, a printout must be taken out and the applicant must sign on it before submitting to BLS center http://www.blsindiavisa-uae.com. He/she must also attach the following documentations and the Visa fees with the application form:

Two recent passport size photos of the applicant

Original passport with validity of six months and photocopies of first five pages and minimum of two blank pages.

Nationals of all countries except UAE must submit a letter from the organization/company supporting the fact that the applicant is working there.

The original Confirmed return air ticket along with a photocopy.

An applicant, who has a permanent residence or an occupation in India, cannot avail Tourist visa.

The only purpose for seeking tourist visa must be sightseeing, recreation or casual visit. Using tourist Visa for any other purposes is not allowed and can lead to deportation from India.

The Time period of a tourist Visa cannot be extended; neither can the Tourist Visa be converted into another type of Visa.

Generally, the tourist Visa is issued to an applicant for a period of 3 months with a single entry facility.

For Afghani, Pakistani, Chinese, Bangladeshi, Iraqi, Iran and Sudanese Nationals and foreigners of Bangladesh and Pakistan origin and refugees, there is a restriction of a minimum period of 2 months for re-entering India. If the foreign National is visiting India for some other purpose with some other type of Visa, then there are no restrictions of 2-months gap between two successive visits to India.
Medical Visa

Any applicant seeking medical care in recognized treatment centers or specialty hospitals in India can avail the Medical Visa. The following health issues are given primary importance:

ophthalmic disorders

Joint replacement

Neurosurgery
-
renal disorders
-
plastic surgery
-
organ transplantations
-
Heart related problems etc.

The applicant must provide a document from any Al Ain or Abu Dhabi Hospital that he/she or is requiring a medical treatment from abroad.

He/she must also provide documents giving evidence of a medical center or hospital in India who are willing to perform the treatment on the applicant.

Family members or people attendant with blood relations including spouses or children of the applicant may be granted miscellaneous visa for entering India.

Any applicant who needs to visit India for a medical treatment for more than 180 days must register himself/herself within 14 days after arriving in India with the respective FROs/FRROs.

Medical Visa can be extended in India if the applicant provides documents regarding the requirement of a longer treatment.
